Developer’s Office in Progress

Developer Offices

This project is in a building that was originally built as a movie theater in 1941 when there was a marquee that extended out to the street. The theater closed in the mid-1970s. It was converted to medical office space in 1981 and a second floor was added inside the building — and the marquee was removed. In 2003, a developer bought the building, and we designed the renovations of the entire second floor. Now, the same client has come back to us to design the renovation of the entire first floor, including a new marquee over the entry. The new codes won’t allow us to extend the new marquee all the way out to the curb, but it’s nice to see a great Annapolis landmark get some of its groove back.
