First LEED Gold Building in Annapolis City

Congratulations are in order…..  201 West Street has become the first LEED Gold Commercial – New Construction v3 category project certified by the U.S. Green Building Council in the City of Annapolis. Initially slated by the client to achieve a LEED certification, as the project progressed, the owner decided to take more progressive steps including an innovative energy system that includes a solar array on the top of the building.  The new energy system was a large contributing factor in achieving this certification.  What was once a 1940s movie theater has now become an environmentally conscious building showcasing great architectural design and is now a focal point in the cityscape.
