Pinecrest Apartments Complete

Earlier this Spring, construction was completed at Pinecrest Apartments, a 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credit project located in Bedford, VA. Construction was originally scheduled to be completed in Fall 2020, however COVID delays added complications in the form of limited unit access, material and product delays, and more. Despite these challenges, the team adapted and safely finished out the project- which made improvements to the building interiors, exteriors, common areas, and site. The new brick and cementitious siding facades are durable and colorful; the building breezeways are now well-lit and slip-free; and the renovated offices, laundry room, and community room are functional spaces for both management and tenants. Tenant air quality is improved through the installation of fresh air supply devices, and dehumidifiers that automatically keep humidity at a comfortable level to prevent mold growth and let the HVAC system run more efficiently. We are proud that despite the many obstacles, we were able to welcome tenants at Pinecrest Apartments into their safe and healthy homes.
