Studio 343 acted as architect and project manager for the design and build of this highly technical office building for clients with very specific tastes. Studio 343 collaborated closely with the property owners to realize a 4,200 SF, two-story building. In a unique twist, the owners (a husband and wife who met at the University of Texas) wanted a southwestern design aesthetic. This was achieved through the use of plaster and stucco finishes, terracotta roof tile and accents in wood and decorative steel to mimic wrought iron. A grand staircase features hand-carved wood and whimsical black steel balusters matched with porcelain tile to deliver the look and feel the owners’ mandated.
