Fox's Den

Annapolis, MD

It is not easy to envision that a below grade, storage space located in the heart of the Annapolis Historic District would become a thriving hotspot, but that is exactly what happened with Fox’s Den. The conversion presented challenges for the Studio 343 team including mechanical, electrical and kitchen ventilation issues but each issue was meticulously resolved and the transformation began to take shape.  The architectural details included wood planks of varying species, brick wall finishes along with a polished concrete floor. There is an impressive 40 foot polished wood slab counter, multiple beer tap heads and the back bar area is topped with whiskey barrels. The open kitchen design in this gastropub allows patrons to have an interactive dining experience along with a great view of the focal point of the kitchen – an imported pizza oven adorned in stone. The casual interior is exactly what the owners envisioned – an atmosphere to match their simple menu of locally sourced comfort food where patrons can enjoy a good pint of beer with excellent gastropub fare.
