Our first project with the National Foundation for Affordable Housing Solutions is one of the most accurate depictions of the need for affordable housing in a rural setting. Situated in Wytheville, VA are the Northwinds Apartments which provide homes for 144 families. With a mix of 1-4 bedroom units, family size varies but the need is still the same; a place to call home. These homes were updated and EarthCraft certified, which included new interior and exterior finishes, energy efficient lighting, a new playground and HVAC systems for the units. Additionally, 15 units were made to comply with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards for those with physical limitations. The need for housing crosses all geographical boundaries and we are proud to be a part of the solution.
