Westside Village Start of Construction

Foundation Housing was recently awarded 9% tax credits as part of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program that is administered by Virginia Housing for Westside Village Apartments and construction is now underway for this 70-unit apartment community located in South Boston, Virginia. Renovations being completed include extensive interior renovations including replacement of all finishes and flooring throughout the units, installation of new HVAC equipment, and comprehensive renovations to the bathrooms. There will also be upgrades to the site and an addition to the community building to better serve the residents.  EarthCraft Gold certification will also be achieved at the conclusion of construction. We are grateful for our longstanding relationship with Foundation Housing and equally grateful that these renovations preserve affordable housing for a rural population that greatly needs it.
